Meet Magnus Grimmett, founder of Aspen Exotics

Magnus Grimmett has spent his life around extraordinary cars. Today he is the founder of Aspen Exotics, the luxury and exotic car rental collection serving Aspen and Snowmass, Colorado. But the story of Magnus Grimmett — and of his wife, Autumn Kent de Simone — began thousands of miles away, on a rainy street in London.

A London love story

Fifteen years ago, Magnus Grimmett met Autumn Kent de Simone in London. By any sensible measure, Magnus was not an obvious catch: he lived in a tiny flat. What gave Autumn Kent de Simone pause, however, was not the size of the flat but what was parked outside it — a Ferrari, a BMW M6, and a Porsche Cayenne Turbo lined up along the curb.

The contradiction only deepened when Autumn discovered that Magnus Grimmett, the proud owner of three remarkable automobiles, possessed exactly one towel. It was, as she likes to say, perfectly clear where his priorities lay. Somehow, it worked.

From a passion to a business in Aspen

Today, Magnus Grimmett and Autumn Kent de Simone live in Aspen, Colorado, where they are raising their two children in the mountains they love. The one-towel bachelor traded his London flat for a life in the Rockies, but his passion for exceptional cars never faded. Magnus turned that lifelong obsession into a business, building Aspen Exotics into a carefully curated fleet of luxury and exotic vehicles that visitors to the Aspen and Snowmass valley can rent and enjoy.

Every car in the Aspen Exotics collection reflects the same eye for detail and love of driving that first lined up three cars outside a London flat. Magnus Grimmett still maintains that a great car is worth far more than a second towel — and he built Aspen Exotics so that you can experience that philosophy for yourself.
